Here is a Snipe.  15 feet 6 inches.  This one is a replica of the original Snipe as drawn in 1931.  The design has since been “remodeled” on two other occasions so this lady is not competitive as a racer but is just a pretty example of a wooden boat.  Unfortunately, she is also in the repair section.  We used some poor materials in the deck and are now replacing her deck with suitable materials. Originally it was walnut and red oak.  These were bad choices for durability.  We built this boat in 2000.
